Customs suspends four exporters over Covid controls

Chinese Customs suspended four exporters due to problem with their Covid-related protocols.

Two Ecuadorian firms and one Russian aquatic products exporter were suspended after customs officials determined the plants were not properly following safety guidelines.

An Indian exporter also had its registration suspended after not completely the virtual inspection within the required timeframe.

Customs would previously suspended companies if any traces of coronavirus were detected on products when they arrived in China. However, this regulation has been adjusted to allow companies to perform virtual inspections with Chinese officials and avoid suspensions if they follow certain protocols.
