Wheat auctions strong again, prices rise
The most recent round of national wheat auctions offered 498,000 tons of standard wheat, all of which were purchased by the market on Wednesday.
The average trade price was 2,635 yuan/ton (US$425/ton), with offered prices ranging from 2360 to 2840 yuan/ton (US$381-458/ton). The average transaction price was up from last week’s average of 2,611 yuan/ton (US$421/ton).
