2021 feed production rise sharply amid herd rebound
China produced 293 million tons of animal feed last year, according to new data from the Chian Feed Industry Association. Output rose by 16% compared to 2020 levels.
Pig feed production exceeded 130 million tons, up 46.6% year on year as the hog industry continued to scale up.
Ruminant feed production rose to 14.8 million tons, up 12.2% from the previous year and aquatic feed rose to nearly 23 million tons, up 8% on the year.
