Domestic corn supply stranded in northern China amid Covid curbs

China’s domestic corn supply from its main growing area in the northeast is currently restricted to leave the region as Covid cases in Jilin province spiked this week, triggering a lockdown across the whole province. Jilin province is the current epicenter in China reporting 455 new cases on Thursday, with cumulative active cases at 4,927 at the moment, according to the Chinese health authority.
