China soymeal futures make new high, crush margins improve

Soymeal futures listed on Dalian Commodity Exchange touched a new record high on Thursday amid Covid restrictions in China and firmer CBOT soybean futures. The current main contract for May 2022 delivery briefly hit 4,495 yuan/ton ($707/ton), a new all-time high for not only the contract, but also a fresh record on a continuous basis since the debut of the futures more than 20 years ago.
