China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) has further cut its estimate of the country’s edible vegetable oil production and import volume, blaming high global prices as the main cause of oilseed supply.
MARA trimmed its projection of China total vegetable oil production in 2021/22 marketing year to 27.52 million tons, down 160,000 tons compared to the previous estimate, the latest China Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (Casde) showed Tuesday.
