Feed output in August reached 26.35 million tons, according to recent data from the China Feed Industry Association. This represents a rise of 7.2% compared to July but is down 6.7% compared to August 2021.
For January through August this year, production of hog feed was down 7.9%, layer feed was down 5.4%, and broiler feed was down 6.8%. Aquaculture feed production rose 15.1% and ruminant feed was up 3.3%.
