Wheat price rise but sprouted wheat falls into corn harvest

Wheat prices in central China were higher again this week but most traders are now focused on the harvest of mid and late season rice, as well as corn. The corn harvest has pressured prices for sprouted wheat for feed with prices falling from around 2760 yuan per ton to 2730 yuan per ton. The rice harvest is also slightly delayed compared to last year, and the peak of the harvest isn’t expected until after the National Day holiday. Rice prices were up again this week.
