Aquaculture output continues to grow

Aquaculture output through May was 25.27 million tons, up 4.12% year on year. Of this amount, 14% is from fishing while the remaining is from aquaculture. Sea fishing accounted for 3.3 million tons, up 1.8% year on year, while freshwater fishing was 269k tons, down 0.24%. Sea aquaculture was 8.8 million tons, up 5.01% year on year, and freshwater aquaculture was 12.9 million tons, up 4.2% year on year.
