China to resume some exports of urea fertilizer

Exports of urea are set to resume after a period of tight restrictions on the export of urea fertilizer. The exports quotas are set at 2 million tons. The first tranche of 1 million tons has been allocated to companies and a second tranche for August and September will be allocated in the future. This amount would be up dramatically compared to 2024 exports of just 0.26 million tons, but still down substantially from recent years.
