Wheat planting advances; rains near as Henan at only 20% planted

Over 40% of winter wheat has been planted, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. This includes nearly 40% in northern China, 30% in the Yangtze River delta, and the northwest is finished. By province, Hebei is basically finished, Shaanxi is over 50%, Shanxi is over 40%, Anhui is over 35%, Shandong is over 30%, Henan is over 20%, and Jiangsu is over 15%.
