Ag Min adjusts corn production higher, but keeps balance sheets mostly unchanged

In its January China Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (CASDE), the Ministry of Agriculture adopted the National Bureau of Statistics corn production number of a record 301.24 million tons. This is up 2.1% compared to 2024/25, with yields increasing by 1.6% and planted area up 0.5%. No other changes were made to the corn balance sheet.
