Temperatures in the northern wheat regions were 1-2C higher than normal in January, with Hebei, Henan, and Shandong provinces seeing temperatures 2-4C above average.
There were four cold fronts during the month, with January 17-21 seeing around 5-10cm of snowfall in this region, which was positive for the winter wheat crop.
