Further south, areas around the Yangtze River saw heavy rain, with most areas seeing 50mm of rainfall, and some areas receiving over 100mm. These heavy rains have led to excessive soil moisture and waterlogging in some low-lying areas. The rain spread over several days, which led to much lower sunlight than normal.
