A warning for wheat scab risk was issued by the Ministry of Agriculture for wheat regions along the Yangtze River Delta due to heavier rains expected in the region.
The warning area is slightly south of major production areas, but does include parts of Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, and Hubei. The warning advised farmers to use breaks in the rainfall to apply fungicide.
