The National Meteorological Center reports that wheat in the northern part of China’s wheat belt is now in the jointing to booting stages, the southern end of the wheat belt is in the heading and flowering stage, and south of the Yangtze River is in the filling and milk-ripe stages. The NMC says development is 3-10 days earlier than normal.
