Noodle company lends to hog subsidiary amid cash flow issues

Noodle company Kemin Foods announced it would lend up to 50 million yuan to its hog-breeding subsidiary Xingjiang Mugue. The subsidiary is currently experiencing cash flow pressure due to issues such as high inventory levels. Kemin Foods bought a majority stake in the hog breeder in 2023 as its market for the company’s main product, dried noodles, had been facing increasing competition and slowing demand growth.
