Noodle company Kemin Foods announced it would lend up to 50 million yuan to its hog-breeding subsidiary Xingjiang Mugue. The subsidiary is currently experiencing cash flow pressure due to issues such as high inventory levels.
Kemin Foods bought a majority stake in the hog breeder in 2023 as its market for the company’s main product, dried noodles, had been facing increasing competition and slowing demand growth. From 2021 through 2025, the company’s revenue from dried noodles fell by 4.3%.
