Rains hit southern wheat belt with more expected

Temperatures were mixed last week, with areas of northern China below average and areas of the south and northeast slightly above average. Areas in the northeast saw 10-50mm of rainfall, which helped to replenish soil moisture. Over the weekend, heavy rains continued to hit Hubei, Anhui, and Jiangsu. Most areas of Henan and Shandong did not see the heavy rains, but over the past 10 days, most of the northern wheat belt has seen 200-400% more rainfall than normal.
