Shorter note today as I was traveling from Dublin to Belfast and the train broke down. This meant that the relatively short trip of about 145 kilometers (90 miles) took nearly 3 hours. Out of curiosity, I looked up an equivalent trip in China. A nearly 3 hour trip in China would be Shanghai to Jinan, Shandong, or about 720 kilometers (450 miles).
