Wheat in Hubei shows wide price spreads due to quality issues

Wheat prices were flat last week in Hubei but rose the week prior to the highest level since May 2024. There continues to be a wide price spread based on quality. Some flour mills are purchasing wheat with 9-10% imperfect grains and 12.5% moisture at 2440 yuan per ton, while prices for wheat that meets stockpiling standards are 2600-2620 yuan per ton.
