Brazil hits 80% of beef import quota, triggering tariff warning

Imports of Brazilian beef hit 80% of the yearly quota volume on July 21, 2026, according to the Trade Remedy Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce. A 55% tariff will be imposed on the third day after the imported quantity reaches 100% of Brazil’s quota of 1.1 million tons.
