Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang are expected to see very heavy rains and thunderstorms through 8pm Friday as forecasts have become more severe over the past day.
Over 24 hours, large areas of Heilongjiang are expected to see up to 200mm (7.9 inches) of rainfall, while areas of Inner Mongolia will see up to 180mm (7.1 inches). The National Meteorological Center issued a yellow warning for heavy rain covering these regions.
