Consumer price inflation highest since 2023

Consumer prices rose 1.3% year on year in February, exceeding analyst estimates of a 0.8% increase. This is also the highest rate of consumer inflation since January 2023. The food, alcohol, and tobacco category rose by 1.4% year on year, contributing an increase of 0.41 percentage points. Vegetable prices were 10.9%, contributing an increase of 0.19 percentage points. Meat prices fell by 2.7%, contributing a decline of .11 percentage points. Pork prices fell 8.6%, contributing a decline of 0.17...
