Weather warnings for wheat lodging amid heavy storms

Over the past week, temperatures in agricultural areas were 1-4C higher than normal with continued heavy rainfall in the southeast. Winter wheat areas continued to see higher-than-normal temperatures and good soil moisture conditions. However, Shandong issued a warning for April 19-20 for risks of lodging of winter wheat crops due to strong wind gusts up to 90-100 km/hour (56-62 miles per hour).
