How to get to $17 billion

Following the US-China meetings, the US said China agreed to buy $17 billion in US agriculture products each year, in addition to the previously agreed soybean purchases. For this analysis, I’ll be looking at US agriculture exports to China from 2012-2025 and excluding soybeans. Excluding soybeans, the highest value year for US agricultural exports to China was 2022, with a value of 20.8 million. 2021 was the second-highest year, with a value of 19.7 billion.
