NDRC notes El Nino impact but confident on wheat yields

In a press conference on Friday, the National Development and Reform Commission said that temperatures in most parts of China will be higher than the same period in previous years. They expect high temperatures to increase electricity demand for air conditioning, that drought conditions in some areas will affect hydropower electricity generation, and that extreme weather events will cause some damage and outages. The NDRC said that there is a solid foundation for a ‘bumper summer grain harvest’....
