China’s Ministry of Agriculture announced that “a bumper harvest is a foregone conclusion” for this year’s wheat harvest due to stable planted area and increased yields.
The ministry said yields increased, and specifically for 70m mu (4.7m hectares) of non-irrigated wheat, yields “increased significantly”.
