Challenging weather continues in largest corn and soybean producer

Over the past 24 hours, areas of Heilongjiang saw very heavy rainfall, with some areas seeing up to 150mm (5.9 inches). Heilongjiang accounts for around 15% of Chinese corn production, and nearly half of soybean production. Last year saw heavy rains at harvest in northern regions such as Henan and Shandong, which cut production.
